Re: Spare Part Number for quad-core showing dual-core
The OA Gets the Data from "Device dentification
Data" >> It Contains information on model name, part number, serial number, and other
information used to identify the device. This data is also referred to as FRU data.
Device identification data error displays if the data is not present or not readable by
the Onboard Administrator.
Try the new firmware 2.04 & see if that makes any difference;

Re: Spare Part Number for quad-core showing dual-core
Does it report the correct no of processors in the OA?
Nothing about this in the latest BIOS FW either.

I was sure it appeared as 2.04b when I installed it friday but I maybe I need my eyes or memory testing.

Re: Spare Part Number for quad-core showing dual-core
What I have under Information for each device bay is a System Board Spare Part Number of 410299-001. Now there was a trouble call for one of these blades and when they tried replacing the system board with this spare it wouldn't work. In looking at the original system board they saw it was a 438249-001. After replacing it all was well and the OA now sees that bay as having the 438249-001.
I haven't been able to actually take down a server to physically look at the system board, but in SIM we cansee the cpus listed as 4 core for all in that enclosure including the one with the 438249-001 that was just replaced.
