Spare Part Number for quad-core showing dual-core

Under Device Bay Information within the c7000 OA utility I have seen more than 36 BL460c stating the Spare Part Number as 410299-001 which is a dual-core system board although the System Hompage and SIM says it's 4core (quad-core). I've been looking where it gets that system information. I see this with OA versions 1.30 and 2.01 as well as BIOS at 05/01/2007b and 06/28/2007.

Thanks

Re: Spare Part Number for quad-core showing dual-core

Bruce,
The OA Gets the Data from "Device dentification
Data" >> It Contains information on model name, part number, serial number, and other
information used to identify the device. This data is also referred to as FRU data.
Device identification data error displays if the data is not present or not readable by
the Onboard Administrator.
Try the new firmware 2.04 & see if that makes any difference;

Re: Spare Part Number for quad-core showing dual-core

Latest OA firmware is 2.04b

Does it report the correct no of processors in the OA?

Nothing about this in the latest BIOS FW either.

Re: Spare Part Number for quad-core showing dual-core

Maybe I was wrong and its not 2.04b

I was sure it appeared as 2.04b when I installed it friday but I maybe I need my eyes or memory testing.

Re: Spare Part Number for quad-core showing dual-core

I have 4 enclosures that I am working at this time. Two of them have OA firmware of 2.01 and ILO2s at 1.30/1.35. On these I have been able to bring the OA up to the latest of 2.04 but took it down to 2.02 where we wanted it after the 2.04 didn't clear the issue.
What I have under Information for each device bay is a System Board Spare Part Number of 410299-001. Now there was a trouble call for one of these blades and when they tried replacing the system board with this spare it wouldn't work. In looking at the original system board they saw it was a 438249-001. After replacing it all was well and the OA now sees that bay as having the 438249-001.
I haven't been able to actually take down a server to physically look at the system board, but in SIM we cansee the cpus listed as 4 core for all in that enclosure including the one with the 438249-001 that was just replaced.
