Storageworks SB40

I have 2 bladeservers (BL460) and 1 Storageworks SB40 that resides in a C-Class 3000 enclosure.
The storageworks SB40 is a device partner to one of the BL460 servers.

How do I connect the second server to the Storageworks? Right now I can only see the SB40 from it's partner device. :(
(The second server has a tape device connected to itself as a partner device)

And that gives me big problems because I want to use VMware and Vmotion between the two servers and I want all Virtual servers to resides on the Storageworks SB40.

/Regards Peter

Re: Storageworks SB40

I'm sure you cannot share this tape drive between blade servers. You should consider to use a fiber channel connected device.

Hope this helps!

Re: Storageworks SB40

Sorry, I mixed up the devices. The SB40c is the 6 disk box using a smartarray p400, but anyway - it belongs to 1 server only.
You should thing about an external disk (more or less the same for tape devices)...

Hope this helps!
