Switching from dual core to Quad core Blades

I would like to known what actions to take, when performing the switch. Systems are booted from SAN

What model are the blades? I suppose that you're talking about c-Class.
The motherboard on some models is different for dual and quad-core CPUs, but they use the same mezzanines and switches.

Your correct it is a C-class blade, 460C and they replaced it with dual Quad core system. The discussion I got is that, just plug it in and connect the HBA to the right LUn in the SAN and start. Windows 2003 enterprise should be able to work without any problem.
