Unable to SAN Install Windows2003R2 on HPBL685c G1

Hi all,

I am unable to install WINDOWS2003R2 OS on SAN LUN using HPBL685C G1 server. My requirement is to install OS on Clariion SAN LUN.

I tried the standard methods with out any luck,

This is what I did....

1.Set the boot order:
a. While the system is booting, press F9 to start the RBSU.
b. Select Boot Controller Order.
c. Select the primary HBA and move it to Controller Order 1.
4.Disable the Embedded Boot Controller.
5.Exit the utility.

HBA Setup

Configure the HBAs:
a.
While the server is booting, press Ctrl+Q to enter Fast!UTIL.
b.From the Select Host Adapter menu, select the HBA you want to boot, and then press Enter.
c.From the Fast!UTIL Options menu, select Configuration Settings, and then press Enter.
d.From the Configuration Settings menu, select Host Adapter Settings, and then press Enter.
e.From the Host Adapter Settings menu, change Host Adapter BIOS to Enabled by pressing Enter.

f. Press Esc to return to the Configuration Settings menu.
g. Select Selectable Boot Settings, and then press Enter.
h. From the Selectable Boot Settings menu, enable the Selectable Boot option, move the cursor to Primary Boot Port Name, Lun, and then press Enter.
I even tried through smart start, but it throws an error message " unable to find bootable device for OS installation.

My Qlogic model is :HP QLogic QMH2462 4Gb FC HBA for HP c-Class BladeSystem,
