Update Bios on BL460c blade in a c7000 enclosure

I am trying to update my blades to the newest revision of the bios. SmartStart 8.0 does not have the bios it has the one before. How can I do this without a windows running on a blade or a smartstart cd? Can the OA do it?

You can use last version of firmware maintenace CD

Or you can use HP BladeSystem Firmware Deployment Tool

but this version does not contain newest BIOS as well.

You can create an XML script which tells the blade to load a virtual media image (you'll need a separate webserver to host the image file and XML file) and boot from it, and use the OA command HPONCFG to send the XML file to the blades of your choice.

If you unzip the BIOS download file, you'll see a selection of options, including floppy diskette. The floppy diskette image includes instructions for making the BIOS update run in unattended mode, perfect for use with a script such as I mentioned above. It requires a tiny amount of work; the default floppy diskette image runs in interactive mode.

I've updated all 16 BL465c blades in a c7000 enclosure before now, using that method.

FLoppy method? I see no text file showing the way to do create a floppy.

The text file is /in/ the image. Once you create a floppy diskette, you'll see the file in question.
