Usage Restrictions for c7000 Switch Bay #2
I want to configure four HP 10GbE Pass-Thru Module in the c7000 interconnect bays #1, 2, 3 & 4. However, the HP SBW configurator tool does not give an option to configure HP 10GbE Pass-Thru Module in the interconnect bay #2. Are there any such uasge restrictions for Bay #2. Can you please explain why if so? Moreover, I have the same issues with HP ProCurve 6120XG and HP BLc VC FlexFabric 10Gb/24-port Blade switches.

Re: Usage Restrictions for c7000 Switch Bay #2
It may be because, in general, the Interconnect bays are populated in horizontal pairs, where the module in the righthand bay of the pair MUST be identical to the module in the lefthand bay.
Keep in mind, that if the righthand bay is empty then half of the blade IO ports are unavailable.
In your case, you are talking about pass-throughs !? So I wouldn't worry about it, just go ahead and do it.
Dave.
