VirtualConnect Functionalities

I read that VirtualConnect Flex-10 10G is IEEE-Bridging-Element. If I Connect Blade Servers(BL685C G6) to VirtualConnect Flex-10 10G (via 16internal 10Gb ports) and others Server(s) connected to the 8External 10Gb, VirtualConnect Flex-10_10G can do swithing so I will have IP connexion between all Servers and Blade? Those connection are in 10G?
Thanks.

Re: VirtualConnect Functionalities

By default, and with no Virtual Domain configuration...

A Virtual Connect module operates like a standard non-managed switch. Anything you connect to the external ports, is accessable to the internal ports.

Connecting server nics to the external ports "should" allow you to talk to the blade servers. You would be limited to the type/speed of the nics inside the servers. Not necessarily 10G.
