Any chance the "HP BladeSystem" category could be added to the front page of the http://forums.itrc.hp.com ??

A lot of people appear to be missing the fact that there is now a new Blade forum because its currently hidden under "more..."

The forums populated on the front page are dynamically updated based on the volume of postings...maybe an announcement of this new forum is appropriate in the ProLiant forum? Maurice...?

Yes, that is correct. The front page is populated by the most active forums in any given group. I will post a message in the ProLiant forum to let Blade contributors know that there is now a dedicated area for blade issues.

OK. That makes sense...

One other thing that might help is if the description of the "ProLiant (ML,DL)" forum were changed. It currently says:

"This forum category is for discussing topics surrounding the ProLiant server line or products."

Maybe a rewording to indicate that the forum is just for the ML and DL series servers...

...but then where would I pose questions about my ageing ProLiant 5500 ??

Hi There

Glad there's a Forum here for these Blade Systems.

Wondering if you can help... At the moment we have 4 Proliant BL20p G2 Blades and 4 Proliant BL20p G3 Blades in our Chassis. Last week we had a serious disaster when our Altiris deployment server started to re-image some of our servers including some of our Blades. As this was happening we had a power outage at the same time and lost all power to our Blade System.

Problems we have is that 2 of the G2 blades have been totally wiped of Data and OS and we are unable to use ILO to re-connect to it to re-build it. Can you tell me how to go about getting ILO to work again?

Chris you can try from post F8 reset defaults and Reseat physically server through enclosure, switch 1 - trigger ILO functionality, is G2 with USB or only ILO port?
