bl460c blade Emulex port not picking up virtual connect WWPN
I have 16 bl460c blades in a C7000 chassis, configured to use HP Pre-defined WWPNs via Virtual Connect for SAN connectivity. I am using HP-branded Emulex Fibre Channel mezzanine cards (LPe1105-HP).
4 of the 16 blades are not picking up the Virtual-Connect WWPN on the 2nd fc port. Port 1 is fine. Ports 1 and 2 on the 12 remaining blades are fine. The Virtual Connect server profiles are identical in all cases, except for the names.
FC firmware version: 2.72A2 (Z3F2.72A2), sli-3
Driver verion: 8.2.0.22_p1
LPFC rpm version: hp-lpfc-8.2.0.22_p1-3
I've also installed PSP 8.11.
Suggestions?

Re: bl460c blade Emulex port not picking up virtual connect WWPN
I had this on a recent BL460c and tracked it back to the motherboard.
It took quite a bit of swapping components around before I was convinced as I suspected everything else first!
Having 4 x servers with that would seem a bit excessive though.
You might just need to swap components around and see where the problem moves. i.e. if you put a known good HBA into a problem blade and the problem remains - then it's the MB.
Good luck.
