Re: bl460c boot from san

Hi,
Does Your OS version support boot from SAN ?
Does it support it via multiple paths (EVA8k has eight of them) ?

Are You using virtual connect or brocade switches in the blade enclosure ?

Re: bl460c boot from san

for example some googling

http://www.tuxyturvy.com/blog/index.php?/archives/42-RHEL4-dm-multipath-on-root-HOWTO.html

although it's made with IBM blades =)

bottomline root volumes are not supported over dm-multipath

Re: bl460c boot from san

It's a DOS boot disk. Mount it with virtual media. OR download new FW maintance CD. It will update your Qlogic too.
