Re: bl460c boot from san

Did You even read this ?
http://www.tuxyturvy.com/blog/index.php?/archives/42-RHEL4-dm-multipath-on-root-H
OWTO.html

Boot from SAN is not supported without some LINUX HACKING

Install RHEL 5.1 and You might get lucky.

Also.. what interconnects You have in Your blade enclosure ?

Re: bl460c boot from san

I don't have to try it because I know that is never gonna happen with RHEL4 unless You use only single path to LUN.

But If You could tell me what interconnects are used in the blade chassis .

Re: bl460c boot from san

Hi,

Do You know what multipathing means ? You have to configure your dm-multipath so your 8 disks "become one"
