bl860C hpux fibre problems
We just got a new bl860C in our enclosure. It has two qlogic cards (installed now in mezz 2 and 3). The virtual connect manager shows that it has its open uplink (which has a fibre connection to a 200E brocade switch). Originally it was sharing the uplink as another blade which has a working fibre connection (since the good one was in slot 2 and the new one was in slot 6 and 2&6 share uplink port 2 according to documentation that I found). Once we moved this new blade to bay 5, it got it's own uplink (#1). Problem is that the brocade doesnt show the WWNN of the new blade (the one assigned from VC) and the fcmsutil shows awaiting uplink as the status. The working server shows the virtual connecct switch WWNN under the switch wwnn field of fsmcutil but this new one shows nothing.
here is the fcmsutil output of the one not working...

- the server problem is setup
- the virtual connect is setup for 2 uplinks
- the firmware should be good since we have another enclosure with exactly the same firmware and it has two bl860c both with working fibre connections (to the same model brocade switch).
Any ideas here folks? Any information would make us very grateful since we have been working on this for 3 weeks and major project is behind until we can get this server connected to our EMC.
