c-Class OA & iLO Architecture

Hi All,

Was just wondering with the c-class enclosures whether the iLO for the blades is part of the underlying enclosure firmware, or whether each blade server has an iLO chip in it?

I thought it was all in the enclosure, but I've had a couple of things happen that is causing me to doubt myself.

Cheers

Re: c-Class OA & iLO Architecture

every blade has it's own ILO2 chip. Onboard Administrator communicates with those.

Cheers :)

Re: c-Class OA & iLO Architecture

You have.
iLO firmware

Array controller firmware

HBA firmware
NIC Chip firmware
Blade Network switch firmware
Blade SAN switch firmware

You can be alerted to out of date versions of a lot of these if you setup Version Control Repository in SIM
