c7000 / BL460c G7 / Hyper-V

Hello,

 i have the following problem:

We have a 4-node hyper-v core server cluster with bl460c g7 configured. All works perfect.

We will now create a SQL Cluster in  the virtual machine which are running on this cluster. How can i give the virtual machines access to the iSCSI HBA? For the SQL Cluster we must use shared disks.

Please let me know, how to resolve this problem.

Regards

Uwe

Uwe,

Create a Virtual Network that uses the iSCSI HBA (or several Virtual Networks if you plan to use MPIO and have more than one iSCSI HBA) as its external connection. Now use iscsicpl to connect to the shared volumes for your SQL Server cluster.

Hey Steve,

you mean that i have to create the virtual network on the FlexFabric module?

Perhaps you can help me to configure it.

Hi Uwe,

The below link should help you to go through the screenshots and video to get your VM's in SQL cluster

Hi Jagadish,

thanks for the response, but i have no trouble with the installation of SQL Cluster inside a guest.

I have trouble to connect iSCSI Storage with out hardware correct, that the guest vm´s can use it as a drive for clustering.

Perhaps you have any information how i can do this.

Thanks

Uwe
