Hello,
I have a customer that wants to attach a 2x1x16 KVM to their c7000 enclosure. They have Virtual Connect Ethernet switches in bays 1&2. Can they simply attach the KVM via the USB port on the Virtual connect? I am trying to convince them to use iLO and the OA to manage their enclosures, but they would like to see if using the KVM makes sense.
What would be the best practice for them?

Solution
Virtual Connect Ethernet does not have a USB port. You must mean the Onboard Administrator. The USB port on Onboard Administrator is for attaching storage devices to OA that then can be mapped to a blade through iLO Virtual Media. You cannot attach a KVM here.

Re: c7000 enclsosure and 2x1x16 KVM
Good to know.
I convinced my customer to use iLO2 to mange the servers through the remote graphical console.
