Re: c7000 licenses
Here's my dilemma: We've been using DL380 & DL585 servers w/o anything but basic iLO. I have been touting the virtues of blades but "the boss" says OK for hardware only, no ICE licenses.
I want to get the blades up and running (all RHEL) then decide if we need the ICE licenses. From what I understand, we should be able to do that, correct?

Re: c7000 licenses
It serves many purposes, except few features like power calculation option, scripting, etc which you get in Advanced licences or ICE licenses.

You can get free time limited evaluation licenses anyway from here

Re: c7000 licenses
You dont reqire a license to manage the enclosre for simple management tasks.
The ICE is only required if you want to use advanced features like RDP. And, ofcrs most of the users don't want to use these applications normally
