c7000 missing fan 9 issue
I have a fully populated c7000 enclosure all 12 fans installed. the fans all look healthy and green at the rear. The Insight display shows no fan installed in slot 9 and that fans 3 and 8 are in the wrong locations. We have replaced all 3 fans but still have the issue. Any ideas on what options we have, we currently running OA 2.25, but the customer I work for is quite funny upgrading firmware.
I am trying to get them to upgrade the firmware, failing that I can only assume a midplane replacement, any other ideas greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: c7000 missing fan 9 issue
Let's start out with correcting 1 issue:
1. There only 10 fans in a c7000
I will see if there are any know OA issues with fans that could be causing this.

Re: c7000 missing fan 9 issue
I would suggest reseating the OA and the OA tray, before replacing any other parts.
Simply remove the OA (both if there are 2) slide the OA tray out 2 inches, wait a moment, then firmly reseat the OA tray and then re-insert the OA(s). Give the OA time to restart, login and check to see if the error has cleared.
