Re: getting packet loss

If it is only happening on the management IPs of the GBE2c switches, make sure the firmware is at least 2.04.

Before 2.04 firmware there was only a single MAC address for the whole switch. After 2.04 there was a separate MAC address for the management interface.

Having only 1 MAC address for the switch mgmt interface and general switching functions like Spanning Tree Protocol would cause intermittent connectivity issues.
