i am looking on consolidating several machines / OSes into blade.
can you please tell me if it is possible to migrate to blade system (and into for example C7000) the following OSes:
- hpux 11
- hpux 11i
- hpux 11.23
- hpux 11.3x
- ovms 8.2
- ovms 7.3
- sco openserver 6
- sun- solaris 10 - sparc
- aix - ibm 5.3 - risc.
- linux - x64
i know this to be a long shot, but i need to present this to management...

SolutionThere are a lot of Proliant blades that supports many flovours of windows and linux and others.
Unlikely to run any aix on a hp blade ;-))

thank you for your help.
just to make sure i got it:
using the blades i can put any hpux as long as it is IA64. those hpux that runs on pa-risc, like the hpux 11 and hpux 11.11 i cannot, is this correct ?
and the linux, as long as they are running on intel i believe it is okay to migrate to the blades.?

Linux and windows will run on both types, Integrity and Proliant.
You will see all supported OS in the specs, like this:
