some Blades Power On Fail

I'm using c7000 enclosure. with BL860c x2, BL460cG6 x9, BL490cG6 x2, 2400W PS x4 (not redundant mode). Some time, some BL460cG6 or BL490cG6 can not power on:
- Health LED = Red
- in the IML: "Server Blade Enclosure Inadequate Power To Power On: Not Enough Power (Enclosure Address 0000, Slot x)"
- no message in OA syslog)
- The failed blades are not same for each time
Is there any idea to solve it?

OA F/W =2.60
BL460cG6 BIOS = I24 07/25/2009
BL490cG6 BIOS = I21 07/24/2009
iLO2 F/W = 1.79 Aug 28 2009
PMC = 3.4

I also had the same problem.

I also grab the log files and found something strange with this few lines below.

Jan 26 00:12:47 OA: Enclosure Dynamic Power Cap: Device tray firmware doesn't meet minimum required version.
Jan 26 00:12:51 OA: PS Subsystem Overload - FAILED. Allocated Power: 2774W DC, Present Power: 1710W AC.
Jan 26 00:12:51 OA: PS Subsystem N + N Redundancy - FAILED. Allocated Power: 2774W DC, Present Power: 1710W AC.
Jan 26 00:12:51 OA: Server Power Reduction Mode - Enabled
Jan 26 00:12:51 OA: Enclosure Status changed from OK to Failed.

Re: some Blades Power On Fail

Hi,

I already solved the problem.

In my case the distri deliverd the blade with two differente CPU's. one 5120 en one 5130.

Now i don't think you guys have this issue but download the latest 1.70 Blade firmware CD and be sure to have your ILO updates to the version of Januari 2010.Reseat your blade in the enclosure after that.

Hope this helps
