Re: struck at Installation.... little urgent plz
Looks like your loading on a new box-fresh, and loading O/S on a bare system is not something everyone does and it can be quite stressful to do it the first time. There were a couple tips about this that I found and maybe it would apply in your case. I used the Search tool for "q_boot"
Here's a comment from one thread that mentioned on their new frame, which had multiple cells, there was in issue loading the O/S due to the version of Ignite while loading on frame with multiple cells. Here's what the fix was:
"..Guys, I posted this just to let everyone know the solution.
Our disaster recovery service provider ran across this quirk after upgrading to Ignite 7.1/7.2 with cell-based systems. Seems the multiple cells caused problems with the recovery (I don't know why, but it does). Sure enough, he reduced the system down to cell 0 only, and the Ignite worked. After the system was Ignited, he added back in cell 1. We were working fine at that point with the full system available."
Look at for details: http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1152793&admit=109447626+1221060905449+28353475
So maybe reducing down (even temporarily) to just cell 0; or maybe a newer version Ignite to load from.
Hope this helps you,
Rgrds,
Rita

Re: struck at Installation.... little urgent plz
Thanks for the reply...
I have Base OE B.11.31 March 2008 release and a Brand new Blade Server in an Enclosure on which the OS is not Installed.
When you say Ignite... I do not understand as I do not have a Ignite CD/DVD.
I am struck up at the same point since yesterday...And I have to complete the Installation by tomorrow Somehow.
Can you give me some more inputs please.
Thank You

Re: struck at Installation.... little urgent plz
Operating Systems Supported on the Server Blade
HP supports the following operating systems on the server blade.
****├в ┬в HP-UX 11i Version 2 (B.11.23)********
├в ┬в HP OpenVMS v8.3
├в ┬в Microsoft Windows Server 2003
├в ┬в Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 update 4
├в ┬в Novell SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 10
Is this correct...
So it dosen't support 11.31
