Present SB920c tape blade to external DL host via SAS switch
HI
Is it possible to present the SB920c Ultrium Tape Blade to another external host (outside of the Blade Chassis) via the 3gb SAS Interconnect switch ?
EG i want to move our backup server to an external standalone device and let it use/own the tape drive installed on the blade..
Please tell me how this can be achieved.
SO far i have connected the DL120 host to the Blade sas switch. It can see the the switch but not the tape blade. Currently the tape blade is "partnered" with another blade server. Do i need to remove this blade server to then partner up with the external host?
thanks

Re: Present SB920c tape blade to external DL host via SAS switch
Even if it did, i'm not sure the SAS Manager would allow you to configure things that way with the SAS Switches.
