Does the ProCurve 6120G/XG console port get mapped to the Onboard Administrator(OA)?

Andrew had an interesting management question:

My question relates to a ProCurve 6120G/XG.

If I logon to the OA CLI, can I use the command “connect interconnect bay 1” to get access to the Procurve 6120g/XG console?.

I know the Procurve has a usb console cable.

But a customer wants to have console access remotely.

Dedicated serial connection to the C-class enclosure through the Onboard

Administrator (OA) provides out-of-band access.

In addition, the OA v2.60 release added the support for the Procurve 6120, including adding Xmodem file transfer capability while using the OA CLI ‘connect interconnect’ command – allowing firmware update over that connection.

Good managing! Does this work for you? Comments?
