Enclosure Base IP Address (EBIPA) for the OA’s ( have 2 in the C7000)
Joe was looking for EBIPA info:
*******************
Where is the Enclosure Base IP Address (EBIPA) for the OA’s ( have 2 in the C7000)
*****************
Info from Dan:
******************
Enclosure IP Mode = OFF
The left IP (on the config screen) is for the Left OA (from the back) and the right IP is for the right OA.
Up to you/customer to know which one is the Active OA (usually the left one) and connect via the correct IP.
Enclosure IP Mode = ON
The left IP is for the Active OA and the right IP is for the Passive OA.
Here the IP will follow the role (Active/Standby) and the customer will always use the same IP to hit the active OA unless (unlikely) it hangs and doesn’t failover properly. Or if the link goes down and they don’t have Link Loss Failover enabled.
******************
Comments or suggestions for Joe?

Re: Enclosure Base IP Address (EBIPA) for the OA’s ( have 2 in the C7000)
The OA's provide the EBIPA "service" to the other components in the enclosure, i.e. iLo's and interconnect modules.
The OA's themselves do not get their IPs through EBiPA, they are configured manually under
Enclosure Settings>Enclosure TCP/IP Settings>
You can select DHCP or Static. (I would recommend STATIC).
You can also set the OA IP addresses on the Insight Display.
