Enclosure Firmware Management dead slow!
Hi,
I think the new Enclosure Firmware Management on the OBA is a big step into the right direction, BUT: All in tests I made so far on different enclosures and different environments it took something between 50 and 75 minutes (roughly an hour!!) to update a single server! This is ridiculous. This means you have to wait an hour until you can use a blade you just plugged into the enclosure or you have to schedule over an hour downtime for a server "just" to update the firmware. This is a nogo! I mean, the speed of SUM has become hardly bearable, but waiting such a long time for firmware maintenance is not acceptable.
Does anybody know how to accelerate this or is there a usable update in the pipeline?
