Onboard Administrator firmware revision view of the Pass-Thru Modules firmware

Steve had a Pass-Thru Module question.

Is there a way to have the Onboard Administrator (OA) rack firmware view display the Firmware version info for the Pass-Thru modules, as currently they display status of “not available”…or is this normal presentation?

The HP 10Gb Pass-thru module does not report its firmware version to the OA, so the OA reports that it is “Not Available”.

2 items are important during installation:

1. verify the low level FRU on the 10GB PT module in OA CLI using: show update
    if there is a never version listed it is already embedded and available in the OA using the CLI command update device xx
  
2. verify the 10GB PT module firmware. You can find more information in this document that I made incl. a video: http://bit.ly/YunPfe the nasty part is like MOnty explained that this FW is only visible when you connect using the CLI of the 10GB PT module as highlighted in the document I referenced.
