Support Pack for ProLiant (SPP) and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

Paul had a customer question on HP SUM and the SPP updates.

**************

I have a customer that has been using the command below in HP SUM CLI they are now trying to use it with the latest SPP,

Command used:-

\\<server>\Package Source\Build_v1.30\SPP\SPP-2014.02.0\hp\swpackages\hpsum.bat" /s /use_snmp

Output:-

hpsum_service_x64.exe started successfully on port 63001 and ssl port 63002.

They use the “/s“ switch to run the update silently as part of the build process.  This command runs but does not actually do anything and therefore the build fails.  Are they using the correct syntax or Is this is a known issue or is there is a different method for deploying the SPP silently from a command line.

For legacy scripts, it is hpsum /s then the rest, like /s /use_snmp

Hope this helps.
