B22 FEX SFP question: Is the AP783A the same as the 455885-001?
Markus was looking to help a customer with transceivers:
**************
My customer is ordering their c7000 with B22 FEX and AP783A (HP 10Gbe Short Range SFP+ Transceiver).
What they're receiving with the shipment, however, is prod. Nr 455885-001 (see photo).
Both seem to have the same description, but the customer wants proof - in part because Cisco doesn't recognize the part and recommended my customer not use it.
I tried using Partssurfer, myPMI and other tools and worked w/ logistics, but so far we can't line the two up.
Ordered: AP783A HP 10Gbe Short Range SFP+ Transceiver
Received: 455885-001 ASSY, 10GB SR SFP or HP 10Gb SR SFP+
Does anyone happen to know the answer to this one?

Answer from Steve:

The B22 FEX only works with either Cisco FETs or Cisco SFPs. The FETs are not sold separately but only as part of a Cisco bundle. No HP transceiver will work in the FEX or the upstream Nexus switch. As an alternative, you can use DACs cables. But these are not the recommended approach.
