HP 1:10Gb Ethernet Blade Switch, not getting IP via EBIPA service OA

HI Guys:

I am trying to configure the HP 1:10 Ethernet Blade Switch, to get ILO management IP via EBIPA from OA, for this I have enabled DHCP by command using console access, I enabled if 256 (management interface) and DHCP service on switch:

HP 1:10Gb Ethernet Blade Switch

Current idle CLI timeout: 5 minutes
System will reset on crash
Use of BOOTP for configuration currently enabled
Use of DHCP for management interface configuration currently enabled  <---- DHCP is enabled which is supposed to overwrite any IP configured for management interface (if 256) but that is not my case.

Switch is not getting ILO IP, which is supposed to be assigned by OA using EBIPA.

Here is the config and the messages:

>> sw1-bay5-c7000 - Configuration# diff
=> Pending configuration
 /c/l3/if 256
        ena
        addr 0.0.0.0
        mask 0.0.0.0
        broad 255.255.255.255

If I try to enable interface once enabled DHCP, I get this message:

>> sw1-bay5-c7000 - IP Interface 256# ena
Current status: disabled
New status:     enabled
>> sw1-bay5-c7000 - IP Interface 256# apply
Error: Invalid address for IP interface 256.
Error: Invalid address / mask pair for IP interface 256.
Error: Apply not done.  Use "diff" to see pending changes,
then use configuration menus to correct errors.
>> sw1-bay5-c7000 - IP Interface 256# /

Re: HP 1:10Gb Ethernet Blade Switch, not getting IP via EBIPA service OA

Hi HP community, any assistance you can add on this?

If I add IP manually to the interface 256 (management) it is not opening the web console, also I cannot telnet that IP.

Hope someone can help on this.

Refer installation guide .
https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=5039543&docLocale=en_US&docId=emr_na-c01055384

If this was working earlier and now stopped working ..would suggest to contact HPE support and open a support ticket to investigate and fix .

If this is a installation time error refer installation guide to configure .
https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=5039543&docLocale=en_US&docId=emr_na-c01055384

From the serial console interface, be sure that the switch IP address is configured and valid on the network.

Thank You!
