Stacking HP ProCurve 6120XG

We just bought 2 HP ProCurve 6120XG switches to replace 2 Gb2Ec switches. I noticed we can stack both switches and maximize their performance (double bandwidth and redundancy).  I did a lot of research on the web for stacking configuration but no luck yet.  I assume we need to enable Port 23/24 on both ProCurve switches before stacking. What else I should do after that? Any trunking or LACP to be set to make this happen?  Is that true, without stacking, one switch will become the primary switch and handle all the traffic while the 2nd one is just sitting there and wait for the failover.

Your advice will be highly appreciated.
