I have c7000 Enclosure with 4Gb BladeSystem c-Class Fibre Channel interconnect. This 4Gb interconnect isn't compatible with HBA QMH2672 16Gb so I can use only 8Gb adapters.
Both HBA (8Gb and 16Gb) are Type A mezzanine cards. And, for example, QMH2672 16Gb is compatible with BL460c Gen8, Gen9 & Gen10 blade servers, as stated in the HP Quickspec.
But QMH2572 8Gb is compatible only with Gen8 and Gen9, not Gen10 servers. Why?
Is it true?
Early like that was with Gen9 & 8Gb HBA, but in the end HPE found them compatible.

Re: BL460c Gen10 & 8Gb HBA - Is it possible?
Greetings,
4Gb BladeSystem c-Class Fibre Channel interconnect. - If this is a Pass-Through module, then the HBA/Servers will work fine. If it is a Virtual Connect Fiber Channel Module, then it will not be supported.
Please review the Quick Specs of the Virtual Connect Fiber Channel [VC-FC] module for specific support with the transfer speed
Please share the VC-FC Model number
Thank you

Re: BL460c Gen10 & 8Gb HBA - Is it possible?
I mean Brocade 4Gb SAN Switch for HP c-Class BladeSystem.
Now It works fine with HP QMH2572 8Gb FC HBA and HP BL460c Gen9.
What about HP QMH2572 8Gb FC HBA and HP BL460c Gen10?

SolutionGreetings,
QMH2572 HBA is not supported on Gen10 Blade server models. Only QMH2672 is supported.
