BL460c Gen8 Blade with HP Flex-10 10Gb 2-port 530FLB FIO Adapter and HP BLc 1/10Gb VC-Enet Kit

Hi,

We are trying to get our Proliant BL460c Gen8 Blade with HP Flex-10 10Gb 2-port 530FLB FIO Adapter  to work with a HP BLc 1/10Gb VC-Enet Module Opt Kit. According to the product support sheets this is supported. Is there any special configuration that has to be done to the HP Flex-10 10Gb 2-port 530FLB FIO Adapter?

As I recall, we ran into issues with that when we added our first 460 Gen8 server a year or so ago.  We had the VC 1/10 modules and it was supposed to work but wouldn't recoginze the 530 FLB.   We had purchased the blade with an Intel 1Gb mezzanine card, and those ports showed up fine, but not the 530 ports.

Unfortunately, after opening a ticket and trying several things with HP support, their answer was that it wasn't going to work and would be addressed in some "future firmware update", and that they had no ETA of the update.  I don't recall ever seeing any update to address this.

We had one newer chassis, with the newer flex-10 interconnect module, and we just limited any G8 blades to that chassis until we replaced the interconnect modules in our older chassis.
