BL460c in Oracle RAC config - strange behavior when migr network environment from Nexus to ACI
Hi,
We have a BL460c in an Oracle RAC configuration. The BL460c is installed in an HPE c7000 enclosure with virtual connects. We are migrating the network from CISCO Nexus to ACI. Initially the swap over goes well and everything works, but every so often the clients lose connection to the Oracle RAC nodes. When we interrogate the network we find that the ARP MAC address for the server is actually the MAC address of the Gateway. We do not understand how the server can obtain the MAC address of a different device. If we revert to the Nexus environment everything is stable again.
If anybody has any suggestions on how we can try and resolve or further trouble shoot this issue it would be really appreciated.
Kind regards
Andrew

Re: BL460c in Oracle RAC config - strange behavior when migr network environment from Nexus to ACI
Based on your input it seems you are having duplicate MAC Address ..
Understood duplicate MAC issue started after Migration from Cisco to ACI .
Under VC you may check if using Factory default MAC or VC Defined MAC ..?
Your Gateway is running on HPE Blade server in the same enclosure ?
I am a HPE employee
