HP ProLiant BL460c Gen8 Server Blade "Power-on" question
David had a customer question regarding the BL460c Gen8 power-on sequence:
******************
My customer would like to configure a Disaster Recovery (DR) blade to “not” power up automatically and says there used to be a setting to control the power up behavior on the previous gen blades, is this still available and can anyone point me to the procedure to accomplish this?
***********
Info from Dave:
*****************
“No Power” sounds like the “Device Power Sequence” screen in the OA GUI.
They should be able to use that screen also, but they MUST configure the Interconnect screen also.
The thought is that you would want your interconnects, switches, SAS controllers, etc, to come on before your servers…
The screen they are looking for is below, “Always Remain Off”
*****************
Any other comments?
