Simpler Navigation for Servers and Operating Systems
Completed: a much simpler Servers and Operating Systems section of the Community. We combined many of the older boards, so you won't have to click through so many levels to get at the information you need. Check the consolidated boards here as many sub-forums are now single boards.

How to configure redundant link network from BladeSystem

Hill had blade switch question:

******************

Looking for steps to configure redundant link network from BladeSystem 3020 Switch to either a ProCurve switch or HP A5500 Switch?

So a link failure of one of the lag segments, or shutdown of the Cisco only causes a NIC team/bond to switch active ports.

Operating systems are Windows 2008r2, HP-UX, Solaris, ESX hosting various operating systems.

Thank you in advance for any help,

The Cisco 3020 has no Stackwise options.  But it does offer Link State Tracking, which will be your only option.  Check out the “Configuring EtherChannels and Layer 2 Trunk Failover and Link-State Tracking” guide (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/blades/3020/software/release/12.2_25_sef1/configuration/guide/swethchl.html) for more information.
