Installed Memory - HP or somebody else's?

Ron was looking to trouble-shoot a blade memory problem:

We are working through some issues at a customer site and know that they have a mix of Kingston and HP memory in their environment (they recently standardized on HP memory).  What are the tools/options available for determining which vendor’s memory is installed in about 100 servers?  Thanks

Currently, the only way that I am able to determine what sort of memory is in a server is to run the Insight Diagnostics tool from the SmartStart CD, which generates a memory survey file.  As far as I'm aware, this is an offline tool, so the server will need to be shutdown and booted up into the SmartStart CD to run this tool.

You can capture Survey.html in both Windows and Linux.      Survey in Windows most likely installed as part of PSP installation.     Survey may or may not install on Linux by user.
