Is it possible to have BladeSystem Matrix solution without SNMP?
Hari had an interesting customer question on the use of SNMP for management:
**********************
The customer is not too keen to use SNMP due to overloading his network with SNMP packets and also due to security reasons.
*****************
David replied:
*********************
To say it a different way, HP SIM doesn't need to have any SNMP access to a virtual machine; it will get what it needs from WMI (Windows) and dmidecode over ssh (Linux)...
*******************
Any other input for Hari??
