Re: LAN ports of BL860c i2 server in C3000 enclosure
This is bad.
How about a remote connection from your PC to the blade or the OA?
Can you do this?
However, you have 4 LOMs on the systemboard and an additional mezzanine card in slot 2.
this gives 8 LAN ports.
The 4 LOMs connect to interconnect bay 1, the other 4 ports go to interconnect bay 3 and 4. Ports are N and N+8.
What is in interconnect bay 3 and 4?
What LAN ports are configured from server side?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: LAN ports of BL860c i2 server in C3000 enclosure
You should now just confirm which of the 8 ports are configured with an IP address (of course each from a different subnet).
Please post this information.
# lanscan
# nwmgr
# nwmgr -S apa
Look into
/etc/rc.config.d/netconf
for the configured ports.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: LAN ports of BL860c i2 server in C3000 enclosure
HP 1Gb Ethernet Pass-Thru Module for c-Class BladeSystem is present in interconnect bay 3.
Nothing is present in interconnect bay 4.
lan0 and lan1 are configured on server side
I configured lan4 on server side and once I was connected to port 3 of HP 1Gb Ethernet Pass-Thru Module for c-Class BladeSystem, I was able to ping the IP.
So as far as I understand I need to "connect" lan0 with lan4 and lan1 with lan5. is there a way to do this?
I have also attached the information that you asked for.

Re: LAN ports of BL860c i2 server in C3000 enclosure
Make sure the ethernet switch is configured for the ports. Based on the formula I gave you, you can find out on which ports of the pass-true module the server is connected, so connect your cables there.
So in summary you have 4 ports on the switch in ic bay 1, 2 ports on pass-thru in ic bay 3, you have 6 useable ports (lan0,1,2,3,4,6).
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: LAN ports of BL860c i2 server in C3000 enclosure
After some tests that I did, I managed to identify that ports 3 & 11 of HP 1Gb Ethernet Pass-Thru Module for c-Class BladeSystem correspond to port 4 and 6 of the server.
So I configured the IP of lan0 to lan4 and the IP of lan1 to lan6.
The problem is that once I remove the IP from lan0 and reboot the server, I have a failure during the startup about the 10G ports.
Any advice?

Re: LAN ports of BL860c i2 server in C3000 enclosure
If the blade server is in slot 3, the ports at the pass-thru module are N and N+8, this is 3 and 11 - no magic behind this.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

The failure is during the start-up.
