650FLB with a HP VC Flex-10 Enet Module
Hi Community,
So, we have a C7000 enclosure with a HP VC Flex-10 Enet Module and a 10g uplink. In our Gen9's, we have a 650FLB with latest firmware on all devices (Well, the VC modules are 4.31) and we cannot get the OS to see the network...
OS is ESXi 5.5.0 U3.
After taking a look at the specs on the card and the VC module, its possible that the 20/40 card is not compatible with the VC module. There are some documents that say it is, and others that dont.
Can someone verify that this card and VC module will work together? Just want to rule this out before we do any more network troubleshooting.
Thanks!
Joe

Hi Joe
As per the card quick spec, it should support VC Flex-10, so I dont belive this is your problem

Re: 650FLB with a HP VC Flex-10 Enet Module
Hi msh_it,
Thanks for the reply! You are correct, and the issue was a VCM firmware revision. The VMC we had in prodution was old so we updated it to the newest version and its working now. Sorry I didnt update the post when we did that.
Thanks again for the reply!

Re: 650FLB with a HP VC Flex-10 Enet Module
HAH, so many issues we have been working on lately... The VC Firmware was for another issue...
This issue was an upstream network VLan issue...
Sorry for the mistake :).
