Add another external port to Shared Uplink Set (SUS)
A question from Avi:
*******************
Can I add ONLINE to working Environment another 10GB external port (X2) to SUS currently with just one 10GB port (x1).
The VC connected to two Nortel 8600. All the definitions for the “new” port to work with lacp on those switches are already exist.

Reply from Lionel:

Yes in normal situation, my lab for instance ;-) you can add one uplink (or remove one as long as you have one uplink left) at anytime, you would notice no server disconnection, this is normally transparent to server connectivity. But I don’t have some experience with Nortel switches.
Do they have disruption on the Nortel switch when they add/remove interfaces to a port channel? If so they might see the same disruptive impact with VC, but usually it’s only a few seconds of interruption.

Any other suggestions or help for Avi?
