Boot from SAN using RHEL 6.6 + HP BL460c Gen9 + HP 630FLB + EMC storage

Hi,

we are unable to boot from SAN X with RHEL 6.6 on blade servers

HP BL460c Gen9 + HP 630FLB using EMC storage. We have a lot of

other FCoE adapters booting from SAN, these servers are the

first ones with this Broadcom CNA.

Does somene has a similar setup?

Thank you,

best regards,

Hi Pinco,

Are you using Virtual connect in the interconnect bays in the enclosure & what is the storage that you are using ?

If it is virtual connect, have you added the FC Boot Parameters in the SAN Profile and check ?

Hi el pinco

Unfortunately EMC do not support Broadcom based Converged Network Adaptors.

Here is an knowledge base article (will require a valid login to the EMC portal)

192744 : VPLEX: Storage cannot be accessed by ESX 5.x hosts provisioned from VPLEX when using the Broadcom NetXtreme II 57810 CNA series of adaptors
