Can we connect two VC FlexFabric switches using cross cable/FC cable?

Hi All,

We have two DataCenters(DC A and DC B), seperated by 100 meters working idependently with no network connectivity between them. Each DC has a C7000 enclosure with HP BLc VC FlexFabric 10Gb/24-port installed in it.

For some clustering requirement we have installed two server one at each site(Active node of cluster is in Site A and Passive Node is at Side B).  For hearbeat network can we connect a cross cable/FC Cable between two VC's installed in two chassis and configure a hearbeat uplink in Virtal Connect Manager.

Is it achievalbe or we must have to use ethernet switch?

FC means Fibre Channel so I was a bit confused there.

If you just mean a Fiber network like 10Gb-SR then yes, you can cross connect 2 enclosures directly.

You just need to make sure the Uplink on each side is NOT using Failover:Auto mode and is instead using Failover:Manual mode on the uplinks.
