Disabling Private Networking - What happens?

We have a few ethernet networks on our virtual connect that were setup with private networking enabled.  This is causing us problems with inter blade communications and we need to disable it. 

What will happen when we disable private networking per network? Will networking on that eathernet be momentarily affected? Settings take effect immeditately or will we need to restart vm host/guest?

Any insight on actual expectations are greatly appriciated.

it should take effect immediately. you should not restart vm/guest. VM/OS has no idea what's being configured at interconnect level.
