Flex-10 and vSphere 4.1 iSCSI dropping packets
I am having a difficult time trying to get my BL460c-G7 blades with Flex-10 and the NC553i OneConnect and my HP P4500 Lefthand using Jumbo Frames. I am using an Arista 10Gbe switch to handle only the iSCSI data path. I can ping from the switch to my P4500 with an MTU size of 9000 with no issues. When I ping from my ESXi 4.1 host with any MTU size above 1500 it drops packets like crazy. The config on the virtual connect is very simple for now no vLANS and we carved up the bandwidth on the Flex-10 as follows:
1GBe for VMware Management
1GBe for access to VM's
1GBe for vMotion
7GBe for iSCSI
I have been on the phone with VMware and they say my setup in ESXI is correct and the HP storage folks say my configuration on the storage is correct. So far the HP blade folks have no idea why this is happening.

Re: Flex-10 and vSphere 4.1 iSCSI dropping packets
I forgot to mention, all the latest drivers from the blades, VMware, to the storage have been applied. The be2net driver is 2.104.277.3

Re: Flex-10 and vSphere 4.1 iSCSI dropping packets
VC supports up to 9K frames by default... And if you can ping from the Arista Switch to your p4500 that seems to check out.
is your NC553i firmware at 3.104.281.0?
