FlexFabric with B22HP
Dhritiman asked:
********************
Hi,
We are implementing a few c7000 chassis with BL460c blades at a customer DC..
One of the chassis would be connected to a CISCO 5020.. Only for that chassis, customer wants to use a FEX in lieu of the VC FF module.
He has raised a query.. Can he split the ports FF adapter (LOM) into 3 NIC & 1 Storage Function with the FEX?
Thanks & Regards,
Dhritiman

Hi Dhritiman,
The Server LOMs would work as normal Ethernet physical functions ( OS will see two Ethernet ports) with B22 Fex and NOT the FlexNICs.
Downlinks to each server are auto-negotiating and work with all HP Ethernet and CNA modules allowing customers a choice of Ethernet, FCoE or iSCSI connections.
Ref the quick spec for more details - http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c04164456
Regards,
Hiten
