HP Blades LACP to physical switch, vSphere, and vMotion

I am configuring a BL460G7 with 2 x FlexFabric.  The FF has 2 x 1GB SUSA and 2 x 1GB SUSB.

vSwitch0 is using default port ID teaming.

I map  1GB PNIC0 and 3GB PNIC1 to my vSwitch0 and config my ESX Mgmt PG to be active on P0 / stb on P1 and set the vMotion PG to be active on P1 / stb P0.

Will a vMotion over the 3GB pNIC actually utilize up to 3GB over the LACP to the external switch or will it only be able to use up the maximum of 1GB connection since it is a single connection.

Thanks,

-MattG

Re: HP Blades LACP to physical switch, vSphere, and vMotion

could you post some screen capture for your profile and vswitch definition? I'm trying to make sure that I understand your topology right.

if your vmotion is within enclosure, they can go up to 3gb as that's your PNIC limitation. if it goes out to enclosure through LACP bundle, then it's 2G uplink limitation. For one vmotion session, it should only use one particular SUS but not both SUS at the same time.
