HP C7000 and Cisco Catalyst 6509 Switch

I have a customer with C7000 enclosure with Flex 10/10D and Flex 10 Modules.  The customer has Cisco Catalyst 6509 chassis.

Does anyone know which 10G Line Card  Module on Cisco 6509 would support HP Flex 10/10D and Flex 10 modules with DAC cables.

Thanks

cat6500 doesn't have any 10G LC with SFP+ or XFP transceivers so DAC doesn't apply here.

Re: HP C7000 and Cisco Catalyst 6509 Switch

so it means that the only option would be to connect 10Gb over Copper RJ-45  Base-T medium.    When you say that Catalyst 6500 doesn't have SFP+ or XFP option does it apply to both 6509 and 6509E chassis.

I guess that if Base-T is the only option then for Flex 10/10D and Flex 10 modules the customer will have to purchase 10Gb RJ-45 transceivers.

For 10G, your choice should be to buy Xenpack X2 transceivers on 6500 from Cisco and then buy SFP+ transceivers from HP and then connect them using LC-SC cables to connect two ends. VC doesn't support 10G-baseT yet.

Thank you so much.  I was under the impression that HP releasled a 10Gb Base-T support for proliant servers and thought that 10Gb Base-T is also supported on Virtual Connect Flex-10 Modules.
