HP VC 8Gb 24-Port FC Module [Cannot detect SFP]

Guys,  we have several HP VC 8Gb 24-Port FC Modules [466482-B21]

  and we cannot detect the SFPs.

The SFPs we are using are ...

AJ718A

HP 8G SW FC SFP+

Are we doing something wrong?  We have other Brocades and other models of the VC SAN that work ok.

Ask as many questiosn as you need to

I don't know if this is a solution but....update firmware to latest...

The Quickspecs for this option does not list this SFP+ (AJ718A) as a supported SFP+.

They only list two: Shortwave AJ716B and Longwave AJ717A.

A firmware update may solve your problem.

AJ718A are QLogic optics.

The 8Gb 24 Port FC module is a Brocade under the hood and does not support those optics.

Only the "B-series" (Brocade) optics will work.
