How to access VCEM if Central Mmanagement Server/SIM server is faulty beyond repair?
Ong had a question for high availability:

I would like to hear some advice on the above… i.e. in a Matrix environment, VCEM is mandatory.
What if Central Mgmt Server or the System Insight Manager, no cluster-configured, is faulty beyond repair, can VCEM be accessible in some other method for Virtual Connect configuration?
What would be the alternative to configure VC module ?
Any feedback is most appreciated. Thanks

VCEM runs on the CMS. If the CMS is dead, VCEM is dead too. There’s a way (documented in the VC CLI user guide) to forcibly break the link between VCEM and VC from the VC side and regain write access to the VC config from VCM. *However* it would be much better to restore the CMS with VCEM. Nothing beats good backups.
