Integration between module Flex-10 and Switch A5120

Hello Everyone, I'm initializing a project with two blade C7000 and two switches A5120.

but, I'm new in HP technology my skill is in Cisco Network.

What I'm needing this first moment is some tips about integration of the Switch A5120 EL with the blade C7000 module flex-10.

for exemplo:

1- if I will use only one Vlan ( only one network for all servers on C7000 ) it's necessary create more than one VLAN ?

2- the module flex-10 comes separate from Blade System C7000 ?

3- there is a step-by-step for initial setup for Module Flex-10 ? how to access the Interfce configuration it for first time ??

4- I will install VMware on C7000 any particular tip ??

thank.

Re: Integration between module Flex-10 and Switch A5120

Let's see how we do:

1. If  you have all the servers accessing  one VLAN then that's all you need.

2. The VC Flex-10 module plugs into the back of the c7000 chassis. There are 8 I/O bays for network connectivity and pay attention to how the server NICs and Mezz Adapters map their ports to which I/O bays. See the QuickSpecs for tons of info.

3. Take a look at the Virtual Connect Flex-10, Virtual Connect Manager Users Guide, and other white papers like the Virtual Connect Cookbooks for info. This site can start you on your road to expertize and happiness.

4. There is a VMware white paper as well on how to work with Virtual Connect:

HP BladeSystem Reference Architecture: HP Virtual Connect Flex-10 and VMware vSphere 4.0

Hope this helps!!
